The problem

Ontario grows world-class mosquitoes. We knock them back.

Warm, humid summers and endless standing water make Ontario a mosquito paradise — and your yard the buffet. Repellent candles and zappers don't touch the population; a barrier treatment does.

  • Works on contact, lasts up to 21 daysThe spray starts working on contact to reduce mosquitoes resting in your foliage, and the residual lasts up to 21 days.
  • Targets the next generationWe treat standing water that can't be dumped — pool covers, drainage, pond edges — to reduce the next generation before it hatches.
  • Targets where they hideMosquitoes rest on the undersides of leaves, under decks and in dense shade during the day. That's exactly where we spray.

Peak Mosquito Pressure & Dangerous Nymph Ticks

Get Protected for June
Mosquito Pressure Peak Swarm Pressure

Humidity and warm evenings produce maximum mosquito swarms. Female mosquitoes require blood meals every 3–4 days to produce new egg clutches.

Tick Risk & Life Cycle Peak Threat (Poppy-Seed Nymphs)
Year 2: Tick Nymphs Aggressively Feed (2nd Blood Meal)

Nymph ticks feed aggressively for their 2nd blood meal. Tiny as a poppy seed and with painless bites, nymphs cause over 70% of human Lyme infections.

Plant Foliage & Adhesion Plant Growth Closes / Full Canopy

Deciduous leaves reach near-complete expansion by late June. Dense canopy creates deep shade where adult mosquitoes shelter from midday heat.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does mosquito control cost?

Season visits start at $89 for a typical suburban lot; larger or waterfront properties are quoted after a free assessment. One-time event sprays start at $199.

What about my kids, dog and garden?

Keep children and pets indoors during treatment and off treated areas until the spray has dried, as the label directs. Every product we use is federally registered and regulated under Canada's Pest Control Products Act, and it's applied by licensed technicians. We don't spray flowering plants or vegetable gardens.

What about bees and butterflies?

We don't spray flowering plants, and we time applications for when pollinators are least active. For pollinator gardens we offer a botanical treatment option — just ask.

What reduction can I expect?

Most clients see an 85–90% drop in mosquito activity after the first application, with the biggest difference at dusk. Heavily wooded or waterfront lots may take two visits to hit full effect.

Can you spray just once for a party or wedding?

Yes — our event spray is applied 24–48 hours before your event for maximum knockdown, and it's our most-booked service for cottage weddings in the Kawarthas.
